China's 100% correct folks bloggers can put 100 different stories on our sites each and every day that deal with food shortages and rising food prices, look in any store and you can see it, just because other countries are having problems don't think for a minute that it won't affect us here. Like China says look it up for yourselves it's all out there to see.

I'm seeing a big spike up in food costs on the basic staples not just the prepakaged stuff. I got a few more good buys. But that's mostly clearing out the older stuff to put out the smaller and higher priced items on the shelf.
ReplyDeleteI don't blame the stores. They have been eating the loss for at least 3-6 months and they have to stay profitable.
People just don't want to believe it I guess. But choosing to ignore the facts won't keep them fed. Me, I'm stocking up like a mad squirrel. I think that not only will prices go up quite a bit, there will be things we just won't be able to get anymore. Maybe ever.

It is a great time to go to your localGrocery Outlet and Biglots and stock up at a good price. The bigger packaged Item that stores are getting rid of end up in stores like these at a lower price. Might let you get a few more packaged items at a good price.
